Bye Bye to Diane & Rob

Gwyneth and I took Diane & Rob to the airport this morning and were very sad to see them go. We had a great visit and look forward to seeing them again early next year.

Gwyneth has found her thumb which worries her Dadda very much
Annabelle finds eating applesauce by herself hilarious!

Nederlands

Miss Annabelle went to daycare for the day while B worked, so Diane, Rob, Gwyneth and I headed up to Nederlands for lunch. It’s a tiny little town but we found a great cafe, called the Savory Cafe. It had so much character and we had a delicious lunch. The drive from Boulder to the Nederlands is gorgeous!

Aloha Tattoo Day

Annabelle’s fish tattoo and a mouthful of grapes It’s Hawaiian week at Annabelle’s school and today was tattoo day. Annabelle got a cute little fish and enjoyed showing it off to Gwyneth. She got a bath tonight but I couldn’t bring myself to wash it off. She just looks too cute!

Red Square

Jordan and Jenny have moved to Colorado from Utah and we finally met up for dinner. We haven’t seen them in 4 years – since Hal & Ticey’s wedding. We had dinner at Red Square and it was great to see them. Sarah watched the girls for us and although Miss Annabelle went to bed easily, Miss G gave her a tough time. GG will be grounded for her behavior – no tv, video games, friends over, etc – until she shapes up! 😉 Hopefully Sarah isn’t too discouraged and will come back and see her goddaughter again soon.
Thanks for babysitting Sarah!

Annabelle is all better

B is home and Annabelle is good as new! She is feeling better, no fever, and walking all over the place. We celebrated B’s return with dinner at La Fogota, one of my new favorites! Annabelle had her first nacho tonight and chowed on chicken quesadillas. Miss G slept through most of the meal and when she woke up Annabelle and Dadda took her for a walk in her stroller around the restaurant.

Welcome home, Dadda!Annabelle loves to tickle GG’s feet!“What? I’m not up to anything!”Sweet Gwyneth Grace

Meyer Girls Weekend

Eric and Catherine got married in S.C. this weekend and B took off for the wedding. Since Gwyneth is only 7 weeks old I wasn’t able to join them. It sounds like they had a great time and I’m really sorry I missed all the fun and the opporunity to see so many friends from college. I can’t wait to see pictures.

How we managed to keep busy:
  • Friday we picked Lauren up from school because Noelia was on a field trip with Austin’s class. We went to Build-A-Bear at Flatirons and Lauren stuffed animals for herself, Annabelle and Gwyneth. She’s such a good kid and was very helpful with the girls!
  • Sarah stayed over Friday night to help me with the girls. Miss Annabelle had a fever and was out of sorts most of the night. We went for lunch at Pasquinis on Saturday and neither of the girls really seemed to want to be there. Hmmm…it doesn’t seem like we can catch a break this weekend!
  • Saturday evening, Grandma and Grandpa Meyer came over to visit with the girls. We went to the park and then ordered Chinese food. Annabelle was still running a fever and was up all through the night! No rest for the wicked, it seems.
  • Sunday morning Mary Ann came over to visit with us and since Annabelle was still not feeling well, she slept on me for about 3 hours. Mary Ann was able to hold Gwyneth and help me with feedings. Unfortunately we had to miss Jocelyn’s birthday party that evening because Annabelle was still running a fever.

Thanks so much to Sarah, Mary Ann, and Grandma & Grandpa Meyer for the help while B was gone this weekend!

Zoo day for the Girls & Visiting Zach

The girls and I went with Noelia and Lauren for lunch and to the zoo. Annabelle has so much fun with Lauren. They rode in the wagon together, checked out the animals, and Annabelle thought it was so funny when Lauren tickled her. GG slept through the entire adventure.

We took dinner over to Ang & Chad and got to see little Zach and Kylie. Poor Zach has acid reflux so we had lots to talk about since GG has the same thing. They seem like they are doing really well and Zach was 4 weeks old today!
Silly Annabelle, shoes go on your feet!

Thanks for the soup!

Sarah made a big pot of soup and had lots of leftovers so she decided to share with us. It was very tasty – chicken and rice with lots of veggies. It was delicious and good for those of us trying to lose the rest of this pesky baby weight! She also made homemade rolls and brought homemade jam from her mom.

Thanks for sharing with us, Sarah!!
