happy birthday,don

The Hales crew joined us for a lazy weekend in Breckenridge. Lisa and I took the kids (except GG) for a walk down the mountain and into town. We wore them out! Annabelle loved it. Saturday was Don’s birthday so we celebrated by grilling and having cupcakes. We’re ready for snow now so we can get on with the skiing!

Annabelle, Kaylee, Brennan, and Preston
We pulled out the ol’ sheep dog hat for Annabelle. We find it very funny – she doesn’t! GG stayed warm inside while we were outside playing.
Beautiful weekend in the mountains

Miss G all bundled up and ready to go for a walk.

Sunday we took the girls to watch the Bronco game at Brandon & Kelly Also’s. It was a lot of fun and we got see Heath, Rachel, and Blake too. The only thing missing was Miss Hannah and we hope to get together to see her very soon. She’ll be very mad when she finds out that the babies were there and she missed it – she’s baby crazy!

We wrapped up the weekend with dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Meyer’s. We celebrated Jen’s birthday and Annabelle loved seeing her Meyer cousins.

New Coats!

Annabelle and Gwyneth received early Christmas presents from YaYa today. They got winter coats from Hannah Andersen. So cute! Annabelle got snow bibs and a coat and Gwyneth received a one piece snow suit. They each received a hat and gloves. They are pretty big on both Annabelle and Gwyneth but these girls grow quick so they’ll be nice and warm all winter long!

New snow suit!

GG’s new flower hat is hiarious!!

Annabelle is ready for snow!

This girls is set for Breckenridge!

Doctors Appointments

The girls both went in today for check ups:
Annabelle is 15 months old and had to have 3 shots. She cried very hard and then cried again when the nurse gave Gwyneth her shots. She was glaring at her and was not at all happy that she was hurting her sister. She weighs 19.3 lbs (4th percentile) and is 29 1/2 inches tall (10th percentile).
Gwyneth is 2 months old and got 3 shots as well. She screamed but recovered quickly. She weighs 10.9 lbs and (50th percentile) and is 22 inches (25th percentile).

Sox win!

Tonight was a big game for the White Sox. They won it and are now going to the playoffs. Needless to say B was pretty happy. Both Chicago baseball teams are in the playoffs. What are the chances?!?!

The girls are not nearly as excited as B is for the baseball playoffs!

Annabelle only gets her pacifier at bedtime and in the car now. She doesn’t mind stealing her sisters through and putting it right in her mouth.

Halloween Package from YaYa

Annabelle and Gwyneth got a great package in the mail today! YaYa spoiled them with clothes, books, and Annabelle received a Halloween doll. She loves it! She was screaming for us to take it out the package and then wouldn’t let go of it. Her new doll even had dinner with us.

Thanks to YaYa for all the goodies.
It’s present time! Annabelle is not very patient. She can hardly wait for me to get her doll out of the package.
Annabelle loves her new doll!
Gwyneth goes in for a closer look!

Are you ready for some football?

Fun weekend of music, friends, and football!
  • Friday – B and Brad golfed after work and then we hung out at our house with Noelia, Austin and Lauren. We watched the Presidential debates and quickly found out that Brad and I not only disagree on the football pool, but politics as well. 🙂 That’s ok – just another excuse to talk trash which Brad did on the football pool board.
  • Saturday morning – Annabelle and I went for her music class at Gymboree. She loved it! This weeks theme was jazz. She enjoyed banging the symbols together, shaking her marracas, and dancing away! Her favorite part was the bubble song which of course involved running through a shower of bubbles. She laughed so hard! We signed her up for a Saturday morning class which will be a good way to get out some energy on the weekends once it starts cooling off outside.
  • Saturday lunch – we finally got to meet up with Tammy! We went for lunch at La Fogata which is a favorite amongst us. Annabelle had her first cheese enchilada! Tammy was so sweet and brought Annabelle a shape sorter and Gwyneth booties, a hat, and a blanket that her mom handmade!
  • Saturday evening – Grandma and Grandpa Meyer came over to babysit the girls. B and I were able to get out for a few hours of adult time. We headed over to Mellanie & Derrek’s 2nd annual Summer BBQ. It was fun to see them as well as Jess, Don & Andrew, and Ang, Chad, Kylie & Zach. The girls had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa!
  • Cindy (my college roommate) and Carl came over for lunch on Sunday. She is 27 weeks pregnant with a little girl! They are living in Golden and it will be really fun to have our girls grow up together.
  • Sunday evening – Chicago played Philly so Jess, Don, Andrew, Pam, Roger, and Ella came over to watch the game. Pam is from Philly so there was some friendly rivalry between her and B while the kids played together. Annabelle, Andrew, and Ella were all born within 3 weeks of each other.
Annabelle’s 1st Gymboree class Gwyneth on her new blanket that Tammy’s mom made. She’s been doing this a lot and looks like she just needs to get that last leg over to get on her belly!
Are you ready for some football? Annabelle sports a Bears hairbow for the game on Sunday. It’s a blue and orange football bow so I suppose you could say its a Broncos bow as well, but I’ll never believe it.

Gwyneth – 9 weeks

I forget how difficult it can be to capture those first little smiles on film. We went this morning to get Gwyneth’s 2 month pictures taken and were kindly asked to come back another time when she was less fussy. She was just not having it this morning. She seems to have her mother’s sass! We’ll give it another try Monday afternoon.
