What a blessed little baby to have so many family members and friends present at her baptism! Gwyneth Grace was baptized in a special ceremony following the 11:30 mass at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Broomfield, Colorado. Her family came from all over the country to witness her special day and she didn’t shed a tear when they poured the water over her head. She has very special Godparents, Gus Donelson and Sarah Roberts, who are our very dear friends. We know they will provide Gwyneth with a tremendous amount of love, strength, and support through out her life.

Following the ceremony, we had a late lunch feast which was catered by Famous Dave’s. We had a house full of people and everyone was in great spirits. Gwyneth enjoyed her day & all of the attention until it was finally time for a nap. She was an angel and just looked so sweet in her little baptism gown. My sisters & I all wore the same gown, as well as Annabelle and my sister’s daughters. It is a very special dress and has now been spit-up on by nearly every Paz-girl in two generations (Stacy’s daughter is not a spitter but my girls more than made up for it)!

10 years!
Wow – we’ve been married for 10 years! As Diane pointed out so elequently, one would receive a shorter sentence for murder. Ha Ha! B found that very entertaining
New Shoes

After a quick dinner Annabelle and I ran to the mall and returned some clothes for YaYa and picked up a few hair bows from Gymboree to match her new outfits. Gwyneth was sleeping so B got to watch a little of the Monday Night Football game and I got some one on one time with Annabelle. I pushed it a little and kept her out past her bedtime, but she was riding in her stroller, smiling at everyone, and talking away. I always enjoy when I get one of the girls all to myself for a little bit.
Top Chef Update
Erica and Curtis assigned chefs for our pool and here are our chefs to watch:
I’m not extremely thrilled with my contestant but she did make it through another week; she was even in the top 3 for her dessert which is pretty good news. I’m not sure any of the 3 of us has a great chance of winning but you never know. It certainly makes it more interesting to watch the season.
Always an Adventure
Saturday night we went to Brandon & Kelly Also’s to celebrate Rachel’s birthday. It was a great time although Hannah wasn’t there. We haven’t seen that girl in too long so luckily they are planning to come up next Saturday night so the girls can play together! She hasn’t even met Gwyneth yet!
After church on Sunday we met the Meyer cousins at Sears to try and get a picture for their grandparents for Christmas. Wow – easier said than done! G-baby was perfect and just sat there and let Nathan hold her without making a peep. Miss Annabelle was a much different story. She was not having it. She screamed! Needless to say the pictures didn’t turn out great and things got much much worse when the manger was so unbelievably rude to us. He was horrible and words were exchanged and yada, yada, yada, we were asked to leave WITHOUT pictures before secuirty arrived. Yes, you read that right! Needless to say you get what you pay for – we paid nothing and we have no pictures. Tis the Season, right? 🙂
After some serious drama, Brad & Noelia invited us over for dinner that evening. The Clingman kiddos introduced Annabelle to chocolate dippin‘ sticks and she’ll never be the same. She loved them. Well, really what’s not to love about sweet bread in chocolate sauce? Gwyneth even made sure to sneak in a little Noelia time before we headed home – all kids love Noelia!!

"Top Chef", Anyone?
It’s that time again – Top Chef’s new season kicks off tonight. I’ll pretty much watch anything on Bravo these days…sadly, I even watched about 15 minutes of “Blush” last night which is a competition to find the best new make-up artist. I thought, “have I really sunk this low?”. To reassure myself that I hadn’t I quickly changed the channel and began watching Wife Swap instead. DOH!!
Our Chicago friends, Curtis & Erica, are running a Top Chef pool. For $10 they randomly match you with a chef and if yours is left standing in the finale you win! It doesn’t get much easier than that. They pay out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. There are still 4 spots open so if anyone is interested in joining please let me know soon. As most of you know, B and I will bet on anything, but it really does make the season more fun. Neither of us has been very lucky lately but I’m optimistic we’re going to turn things around this season!
carlson baby
Jennifer and Keith will be welcoming Jack’s little brother in January. We are so excited to meet him! I hosted a baby shower for Jennifer at our house and we had a wonderful, relaxing brunch with her family and friends. I was in Chicago for her first shower so I’m really glad I was able to be in Colorado to celebrate her pregnancy with her this time around. Jennifer & I have been friends for years so it was really nice to be able to meet more of her friends and her mother-in-law.

New President Elect
What an exciting night! B and I spent the evening with the girls watching CNN as the updates rolled in as to who would be our new president. What a huge moment when they declared Barack Obama to be the 44th President. We watched as Obama addressed the massive crowds in Chicago and were a bit homesick and wished we could have been there to see it in person. I am proud that Colorado, which has typically been a red state in the past, went blue this time around. I really hope that Obama will follow through and bring about the change he has promised.
