welcome caley

Jennfier and Brian have welcomed a beautiful baby girl! She was born on Saturday, April 12th, around 10 in the evening. Jennifer had a long labor and Caley arrived via c-section weighing in at 8 lbs 15 oz. Everyone is healthy and happy and we can’t wait to see them!
Jennifer is a great friend I met while working together at Qwest. She has since moved on to a position at First Data, but we’ve remained in touch and I’m so excited to watch her little daughter grow. She’s going to be a great mom!

lion

Sarah has been a travelin’ fool lately but we finally got to meet up for dinner and catch up. We met at the Gordon Birsch Brewery at Flatirons and I talked her and B into bread pudding. Even if I’m the only one that is pregnant I have decided that they should over-indulge in desserts with me. Sarah brought Annabelle a yellow stuffed lion and pink Snoopy socks. Both were a big hit. Sarah knows Miss Annabelle loves anything yellow so the lion will become a quick favorite. After Annabelle had her dinner of turkey and peaches, Sarah and Annabelle went for a walk around the restaurant. Annabelle doesn’t walk well yet even with help but she liked trying with her pal Sarah.

meeting maeva

I was so excited to meet my new niece, Maeva. Stacy & Maeva live in California but came out to spend a few days with us. This was Annabelle’s 1st time meeting her Auntie Stacy too! I was able to take Monday off work so we could take the girls to get their pictures taken and to the aquarium.

We took the girls to Sears for their photo shoot on Monday morning. They were both very smiley we just couldn’t seem to get them to smile at the same time. We had to take feeding breaks for each one also but the pictures were well worth it. We got some great ones and since that’s what YaYa asked for as a Mother’s day gift we’re set. Phew!

After the pictures we took a trip to the Denver Aquarium. The girls really liked all the lights! That evening we hung out at our house so the girls could relax. It was great to have the time to catch up with my sister. Carl arrived on Wednesday and we met in Highlands for pizza. They stayed at our house another night before heading up to Breckenridge.

9 months

Our little girl is getting so big! She has 8…yep, count ’em 8 teeth! Her toothless grin is a distant memory and now she flashes those cute little pearly whites at us. She weighs 15 lbs and 11 oz (10th percentile) and measures 27 inches (25th percentile). She’s petite but strong and healthy. She still HATES tummy time but will get on her hands and knees and give the impression she is going to crawl – she then moves backwards which makes her very mad! She has strong little legs and is very good at holding herself up. Although she is a bit more sturdy she still needs some help in the balancing department. She’s a pro at sitting but she’s much more squirmy these days. She has graduated to finger foods although she is not a big fan. We’re experimenting with cheeses, fruits, veggies, and grains. She loves to dance & wave and knows how to say “Momma” with authority!

easter gifts

Annabelle received a special package in the mail from Poppy & Melissa. It was full of Easter goodies. Annabelle loves stuffed animals and you can see from her photo that the bunny they sent was a huge hit. Melissa made her a very sweet Easter card and sent lots of clothes and a new Easter book. Annabelle chewed on the book and played with the ribbon. I can’t wait for her to wear all her new clothes.

happy birthday, jess

Don put together a great surprise for Jess’ 30th birthday! He told her we would be watching Andrew so they could go for a movie. When they arrived at our house a bunch of Jess’ friends were waiting for her. We all yelled surprise and scared poor little Andrew. He bounced back though and we had a great time!

Annabelle is the proud parent of a WARTHOG! Poppy & Melissa sponsor an animal for each of the grandkids at the St. Louis zoo. The girls receive a special stuffed animal and a certificate for their adopted animal.
