rock creek

Gwyneth and I met friends at Rock Creek pumpkin patch this morning. She had a great time posing for pictures, checking out the farm animals and jumping in the bouncy houses. The pumpkins were a bit picked over but we had a lot of fun.

spooky

Hannah and AJ spent a few days with us. Hannah kept me busy with 6th grade math homework. We were subtracting fractions and it was quite clear that I am very reliant on Excel and calculators. We finally got it figured out but it took far longer than it should have. Quite embarrassing.
We decorated the house, made some halloween cupcakes and enjoyed pizza for dinner. Amy, Tom, Bella and Brayden joined us and shame on me, I didn’t get any pictures of them. We celebrated Tom and Amy’s recent engagement. We are so happy for them and can’t wait for the wedding next year.

ribbon

It’s red ribbon week next week at Annabelle’s school. Each day there is a different activity and of course, something involving red ribbons. I offered to volunteer for the preparations and my job was to cut 1 foot ribbons for each child in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. I’m not quite sure what will be done with them, but it occupied my evening after the girls were in bed and I was able to watch two episodes of Mad Men. No complaints.

gymnastics

Today was the last day of this session of swimming and gymnastics. The girls have really enjoyed it and have learned so much. We are taking this next session off to get through vacations and holidays, but we’ll be picking up again at the beginning of the year.

booing

We decided to sneak over and boo the girls’ friend Corbin. Gwyneth loves, loves, loves booing. She gets so excited and she is full of giggles. We ran up to the door and rang the doorbell and she booked it down the driveaway! She was laughing all the way home. It is way too much fun.
here are the boo signs we use. super cute.
