happy birthday, lexi

The girls celebrated their cousin, Lexi’s birthday at the Sweet and Sassy salon. (Lexi, is B’s cousin’s daughter). They had their hair done, nails painted, eyes shadowed, cheeks glittered, and dressed up. They sang and danced including a fabulous rendition of “Call Me Maybe”. They enjoyed cotton candy, birthday cake, and ice cream. It was a wonderful party and the girls loved getting dolled up!

Happy Birthday, Lexi!

stupid broncos

We were so very excited for the Bronco game this afternoon. We spent the day over at Brandon’s watching the game and had a great, great time. It was a horribly disappointing ending to the game, but we had the perfect afternoon catching up with Brandon and Hannah.

back off

Annabelle’s troop had a special meeting today to earn her Courage and Bravery badge. They had an instructor come in and teach them self defense and about stranger danger. She learned some defensive moves and when to use them….and when not to use them ie never use the hammer punch on your sister!  She also learned how to yell and run if she is afraid and has been practicing her “no” and “back off” in her most aggressive voice.
A great class to empower and protect these little gals.
“Never hammer punch your sister!”

happy birthday, auntie chriss

We celebrated Auntie Chriss’ birthday with dinner at Grandpa and Grandma’s house. Paul made a prime rib which was delicious. I’m sure she won’t appreciate this, but Auntie Chriss has one more year until the big 4-oh, so we’re going to make this a good one for her.

happy birthday, ben

It has been a long since we’ve see the Carlson’s so we were so glad to be able to celebrate Ben’s birthday with him at Monkey Business. Everyone had a blast on the big ol’ slides — even Keith, Ben’s dad! The party was dino themed and the kids feasted on bagels, chips and delicious blue cupcakes.
Happy 4th birthday to Ben!

The birthday boy
Yum!
We got to see the Silvermans too. The kids are all getting so big!
Something tells me this blue sugar is going to make her a little crazy

dolls

The girls had a special day with YaYa which included a visit to the American Girl store. They both got a new doll and couldn’t be more excited. The names are still pending and continue to change on a daily basis. We’re hoping to have them named by our next trip to the monster American Girl store in Chicago. YaYa also treated them to breakfast for lunch at IHOP. She sure knows a way to their hearts.

new years eve

Gabriela can’t get enough of my camera. She loves to get her picture taken. I’m always happy to oblige.

Stacy and her family headed up to Breck and we took our girls to paint pottery and take advantage of some after Christmas sales.

catching a 3D showing of Monsters Inc…better know as Baby GG at our house

remember these days? I will always love Monsters Inc because it reminds me so much of Gwyneth as a baby…

For New Years Eve the girls had dinner and went looking at Christmas lights with YaYa. We headed out to meet Gus and Misti. We had planned on dinner, but how could anyone eat with this guy? Oh, how I wish 2013 was the year of the ‘stache. That’s just fabulous!!!

We had a great ending to 2012 and can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store!

mermaids

YaYa arrived this morning just in time for us all to celebrate Maeva’s birthday together. Her actual birthday is   tomorrow, but in our family birthday celebration last days, weeks, sometimes even months.
The girls all slept in their matching pj’s. So, so cute!!

Maeva opened her gifts from Poppy and Melissa and received her own Leap Pad and several games. Now all the girls have them and it makes for a very peaceful gathering.

Maeva requested a mermaid party and a mermaid tshirt. I reserved the water room at the aquarium and while we ate lunch we got to see the mermaid show from our table.

After lunch we took a quick tour of the aquarium. It was super crowded. More crowded than I’ve ever seen it. The girls didn’t seem to mind. They enjoy their cousin time.

little mermaid face painting. what more can a birthday girl ask for?

fogo de chao

Becky, Darnell, Lily, and Madison arrived mid-morning. We had a delicious lunch at Si Seniors and then Becky and Darnell went to check in the hotel. We got to spend the afternoon playing with Lily and Madison. Madison is so sweet to my girls and they can’t get enough of Baby Lily. She is such an adorable, easy little baby.

Poppy and Melissa arrived just in time for us to head downtown for dinner. Miss Madison requested dinner at Fogo De Chao. We had never been so it was fun to try someplace new. Annabelle helped herself to the salads while Gwyneth ate her share of meat. We had a great time and it was such a nice start to a fun filled trip.
