Another cookie booth and lots more cookies sold. I think the Daisys have the most success at this age because they are just so darn cute. How can you say no to these faces???? Seriously?

pizza tour
We joined friends for a tour of Marcos Pizza. The owners were so kind. They showed the kids around the kitchen, the freezer, the storage space, showed them how to take calls, how to make dough, and most importantly how to make pizza. The kids had a blast and they each got to make their very own pizzas for FREE! You really can’t ask for a better playdate – Free pizza and I didn’t have to make dinner that night. Winner all around!
cookie booth
Gwyneth’s troop participated in their first cookie booth. The girls did great and earned $144 in just an hour. I wish we had more time to stay, but with kindergartners the attention span in short and weekday evenings are quick with homework and early bedtimes.
We have three more booths over the next two weeks and hope to get rid of our extra boxes before these cookie sales wrap up. Wish these little ladies luck!

valentines party
Gwyneth’s daisy troop had a Valentine’s party this evening. They had some sweet treats and made Valentine’s bags and exchanged Valentine’s. They also made a Valentine for their fellow daisy who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. It’s so heartbreaking but the girls showed such kindness and love for their friend.
They ended the party with a Frozen Dance Off. They could have kept dancing all night long.

sassy hair
Annabelle decided she needed a new hair style. Off came over 6 inches of hair when she told the hair stylist to make her look “sassy”. I had a minor anxiety attack when the first few hairs fell. I like long hair and I probably only get my hair cut twice a year (this is due to pure laziness and the over use of ponytails). Gwyneth likes her hair long too, so Annabelle is our adventurer when it comes to her locks.
Annabelle’s new hair style looks adorable on her and is oh, so sassy indeed. She can even style it herself which is going to make my mornings a little happier too. My only complaint is that she looks far too old for my liking. She needs to slow that down.

tubing
It was so very, very cold this weekend. We bundled up and hit the tubing hill in Frisco. There was about 6 feet of fresh powder on the mountain. We linked up and hung on to each other but whoever was riding forward got a nice face full of snow at the bottom of the hill.
Annabelle complained pretty consistently of being cold and wet, but Gwyneth loved it. She couldn’t get enough. We warmed up with lunch at ironically, The Warming Hut and then spent a relaxing afternoon playing games, watching the Olympics and napping by the fire.
Dinner was a delicious feast at Briar Rose. The girls ate their weight in steak and tried Elk and loved if, of course. It was a wonderful weekend!
ride
I gladly signed up to run the book fair again at the girls’ school this spring. I do love books and I love helping out the school. I also was able to sweet talk some of my friends and family into volunteering to help out too. It will be insanely busy over the next few days, but worth every minute.
After setting up the book fair today and hosting the teacher preview, we packed up our car, the girls, and our snow gear and headed up to the mountains. My dad and Melissa surprised us by staying through the weekend so we went up to visit them in Breckenridge.
It was cold and snowy so we added about an extra hour to our car ride. The roads were really slippery and I’m so glad B came with us and drove; I would have been a mess with the girls on my own. We arrived a bit behind schedule but we got a tour of Poppy’s new place in Breck, a nice glass of wine, B crushed Poppy in pool and Melissa is foosball, the girls claimed their new rooms and found lots of new toys, and we enjoyed some pizza. Not a bad way to spend a Friday night.

spirit
Spirit day at the girls’ school:
1st grade = wear yellow
We own no yellow clothing. We received the email the night before about spirit day, looked through Annabelle’s closet and she had no yellow clothes. We ran out to the store and luckily we found a sassy yellow outfit (at the 3rd store we visited….). She is loving this vest and scarf.
Kindergarten = wear Red
Lucky for us Gwyneth has lots of Valentine’s clothes to choose from.
