spring break: bella bean

The Conley’s had planned had planned to join us in Breckenridge for one night, but Brayden got an infection and it was contagious so the boys stayed home. We were bummed they missed the fun, but had a lovely time with Bella and Amy. The girls colored and took a dip in the hot tub. We had baked wings and beers and root beer and cream soda at Eric’s, one of our favorites. Good times!

these girls are NUTS:
no way I would go in the hot tub in the snow, but they were in heaven!

spring break: olaf

Hello, spring break! We’ve been so excited for the break from school and some quality family time. We hopped in the car and headed up to Breck. Olaf joined us for the ride up and the girls made a game of having him in all of our pictures. He was pretty popular around town.

We really didn’t have much planned for our vacation. Just lots and lots of relaxing. And it was wonderful.

First stop: pizza in Idaho Springs
Lots of coloring and quiet time in Breck. I absolutely love this picture of my little Gwyneth and Olaf. Love, Love, Love!

all stars

This is the apron I made this week. Now, that’s a lot of names.

Annabelle’s class made stars for the principal to honor her on Principals Day. Notice the bright red love star with red hearts and a princess crown. Yeah, that would be Annabelle’s.

pink lemonade cupcakes

I am the Treasurer for my MOMs club and this month we doubled up our board meeting with a MOMs Night In. We took care of business and then spent a late night playing games and eating snacks. I made some pink lemonade cupcakes and my girls didn’t let me out of the house without sharing.

Claiming their cupcakes:
The girls have hip hop class and this is how this girl dresses herself. She’s got her own style and is a stone cold weirdo!

happy birthday: addi

Gwyneth’s friend Addi will be celebrating her sixth birthday in the hospital this Friday. She is undergoing chemo treatments and won’t be home to celebrate. A few of her friends gathered to make birthday cards for her. There’s a lot of love in this little group of girls. We are just sad Addi can’t be with us to celebrate, but we are thinking of her always and hoping she gets to come home soon.

st paddy’s

Green shirts were worn and green food consumed. That’s it. We don’t go overboard for St. Paddy’s around here….except maybe with the pinching. We love a good opportunity to pinch the hell out of someone.

happy birthday, rhianna

Gwyneth’s friend celebrated her birthday at Skate City. I loved roller skating when I was a kid but this place gives me anxiety. Maybe when they are older and can get around on the skates better, but most of the kids at these parties end up crying. Oye! Gwyneth didn’t seem to mind. She’s such a happy, cool gal.

avalanche

B received Avalanche tickets for his birthday. It was an afternoon game which was so nice because we actually got to see the entire game. The Avs played the Blues and I thought it would be really exciting given my St. Louis roots. Sadly the Blues fans were really annoying and there were A LOT of them. I gave the girls a hard time that our house was divided by Colorado vs St. Louis and they clearly abandoned me. The Avs lost the game, but I realize I may have grown up in St. Louis but I’m a Colorado sports fan along with the rest of my family. We are no longer a family divided! (Unless you count football and Annabelle will still pick the Bears over Broncos. We’re still working on her.)
