Annabelle’s girl scout troop is planning a camping trip — well, lodge camping trip. Let’s not get crazy here, we’re not ready for sleeping bags and tents with a bunch of 9 year olds. I’m sure there are plenty of troops out there that do that fabulousness, but not this lady. I’m reminding Annabelle everyday how lucky she is that I’m sleeping in a cabin for a weekend. I’m not what you would call outdoorsy.
I digress, we are prepping for our trip and we had a fun meeting to get ready. We practiced rolling sleeping bags, making smores and even made banana boats, which I had never heard of before but it’s a girl scout tradition.
Annabelle is a little hesitant too…
oh wait, never mind. She found ooey-gooey marshmallows.
B manned the grill for us and the girls made lanterns
Annabelle wanted a place for her SWAPS. Things like this get thrown away at our house if they don’t find a special place. Annabelle has learned to treasure her belongings….I may be creating a hoarder. We found this little craft and now her SWAPS are hanging safely on the wall.
Oh, and I was only teasing before. I don’t give Annabelle grief about going away for the weekend. I can hardly wait to spend the weekend with her. That time is really special to me.
