fathers day, art and gymnastics camp, and my birthday

Father’s day is always a little crazy at our house because it’s the same weekend as the girls’ dance recital. We love B so much and we’re so appreciative of everything he does for our family. He’s a great dad and the girls could not be more lucky to have him. Everyone is a little tired on Father’s day, but we hope he has a great day and feels the love!
This year we had lunch at Mellow Mushroom and then melted at the Rockies game. Boy, oh boy was it hot. It was 98 degrees but we were right on the field with no shade. That is definite dippin’ dots weather!

The girls have been begging to see Inside Out. It was a really cute movie. It did not disappoint.

Annabelle flipped and tumbled her way through gymnastics camp this week.

She joined me for a delicious birthday lunch at Super Mini Walnut Cafe.

June birthday girls:

My dad and Melissa arrived the day after my birthday to celebrate with us. They came bearing lots of gifts and we had a great evening with friends and family at Morton’s.

Before heading to dinner we stopped to check out the updated Union Station. The girls opened a few birthday gifts including the Jelly Bean Beanboozled….which is basically a game of chance between yummy flavored jelly beans and horrible jelly beans. The bad ones include barf, boogers, and skunk. We had entirely too much fun with that game!

The guys
While Annabelle did gymnastics this week, Gwyneth spent the week with Essy and Addi downtown at the art museum. Essy’s mom was amazing and took them downtown everyday. They had so many amazing adventures. I’m so grateful that she was able to have this experience.

She looks pretty comfy (and stinkin’ cute) on that bench:

Touring the capital:

The final day of camp Annabelle and I went downtown to see Gwyneth’s art show. Annabelle took a moment to enjoy the photography and I adore this picture of her.

The participants in the Empress and the Three Little Mice art camp.

So. Stinkin. Adorable.

After camp we joined Eleanor, Clara, and Ethan for a birthday celebration. Both our hubbies were working so we toasted with a glass of vino and the girls enjoyed cupcakes. Such good friends. They even gave Annabelle her first copy of Anne of Green Gables which is one of my favs. I hope she lets me read it with her and even more, I hope she enjoys it as much as I did.

happy little chocolate faced friends!
